Ugh, I wouldn't try this with a wife and kids and your bankroll level, and your location. I think you're going to get burned out faster than you think. If you are willing to move around the east coast, you might be ok, but I wouldn't want to try to play 20 hours a week at one casino.

There are great casinos everywhere around me!! A few years ago it would have been pointless. I had less than 2000$ in the bank two years ago. My wife and kids are not in any peril. I have never had any money and can always get another annoying job anytime I want. Please try not to get offended by my attempt people. Let's just see what happens.

I don't know you at all but this just seems like a terrible idea. Theres so many ways this can go wrong (run bad, backoffs/barrings, variance, burnout). Are you just going to go back to your job when you get backed off/barred from every PA and AC store in 3 months? If you want a real chance at making this work you absolutely MUST start learning AP skills beyond card counting. Card counting is the worst way to make money in a casino, and its not even close. There are a lot of easier/more profitable/lower variance/less heat ways to win.

I have a much larger bankroll, no wife/kids, no debt, and much broader set of gambling skills, yet the idea of having to grind casinos for a living still makes me feel uneasy. Might be because I can't fathom the idea of spending that much time in a casino, they are the worst places on earth haha.

Buzzard, you've had some pretty good advice so far, and especially from the last two posters. You should heed it. You really need a lot more planning and savvy/cunning. Can you see that? Admit it to yourself. You have the ballz, confidence and cash. You can do it. But maybe when the time is more favorable than it appears to be at the moment. Why not after the upcoming holiday break. What's the rush? You have some time to work on your game before then.

Impressive one. Could you just list those AP skills, which is easier than CC ?

is your wife supportive of your decision to play full-time? (don't answer that, ask yourself that question)
hopefully you have a great support group with your family because you will need it. it takes more than knowledge of a game to make it playing cards for a living imo.
when cards are your only income the swings will test your mentality... i wish you the best! i couldn't do it, i've tried playing poker full-time.
it's tough (at least for me) to stay focused through the downswings.
