You can see from page 214 of BJA3 that the SCORE even for 6.5/8 and a 1-16 spread is only 13.65 for play-all. Naturally, if you back-count, it could be considerably better (page 227, Table 10.26, shows 31.7). So, yes, I think I'd play this game before I'd drive six hours for another one. But that's just me. Of course, you didn't say what stakes you're playing for.
