Just out of curiosity is it possible to get Bob Nersesian as your attorney?

Also, what does he charge? Approximately anyways. Just wondering as I will be making more trips to Vegas (baby) in the near future. Maybe I've been reading too many horror stories about the old days or more recently APs getting bounced using "unprofessional behavior" by casino staff. But I would just like to know if I should get "lawyered up" just in case. Granted I am red chip trash so nothing major will most likely happen; usually just a polite BO. (Well ...... maybe except at Binion's where they'll beat the snot out of me, then at the hospital the Casino Manager will call me to say that if I'm thinking about filling a law suit then I'll be staring down the barrel of a 44. BTW that did happen to a card holing team back in the late 70s, could have been early 80s. That call was made by Teddy Binion himself BTW. They filled the law suit and won and nothing happened.)

Yes, Bob takes new cases all the time. He has said NOT to call him if all the casino did was tell you that you can't play anymore. But if they drag you to the back room you probably have a good case. His office number is 702 385-5454

I believe his rate is $450-$500 an hour but don't hold me to that. It may have changed now that he's a Supreme Court lawyer.

If you’re red chip, I certainly wouldn’t get “lawyered up” in advance. Not just because it’s a waste of money -- but if a casino did do something nasty; their lawyer might claim that the fact that you talked to a lawyer first showed an attempt to provoke an incident.

A lot of the cases against casinos he takes on contingency, so he gets a % of the win - kind of like a BJ bank LOL.

True but wouldn't they have it on tape?

Hey Norm. BTW I'm still in favor adding background sounds to CVBJ. I know that you can play your own sounds like loud music but I still think nothing beats casino sounds. Anyways ......

Bob N. told me that he charges $400 per hr. plus expenses.
I carry his business card in my wallet; and I have his cell phone and his
office numbers on my cell phone.

Same goes for a auto or really any accident one of the first things opposing council will ask is did you seek medical attention first or talk to a lawyer first?

Me too. I also keep Nevada Gaming's number in my cell phone. I've never had to use either, so far.

Bob has said on the radio that he asks $450 per hour, and that if you contact him ready to pay that, there's a very good chance that he'll accept you as a client. Whether or not he does hourly fee work for certain clients at a somewhat lower rate, I wouldn't know. He has taken many cases on a contingent fee basis. He has also said that he is selective about the cases he takes on contingent fee basis, and that it would probably have to be on a subject in which he had a particular interest. If you confer with Bob about a case that he is considering taking on a contingent fee basis, don't be surprised if he ends up asking for a fixed fee up front (what lawyers sometimes called a "suit fee") before he'll bring a lawsuit, in addition to a contingent fee calculated as a percentage of any recovery.

I may be way off base here but to me a red chipper worrying about having a lawyer on retainer in case he gets backed off is absurd and shows little understanding of the reality of Vegas.
Bringing up stories of Binion's from forty years and five ownership groups ago is nuts.
