    Site censorship

    I posted a website where you could read a 2011 book on casino security that had much relevant card counting info from security perspective. The post was deleted and I received the following message from Norm:

    "Your thread on ****** was deleted as it was a violation of federal law and intellectual property rights. We do not violate the law or other people's rights here.

    Rgds,
    norm"

    I replied back the following:

    "My post wasn't on ******. It was on casino security. I will just repost. If banned I will just get another username. If IP banned I will just use a proxy. I'm not receptive to censorship especially when it's just knowledge. Use whatever reasoning you want but providing a website is NOT against federal law."

    The amount of quoted word for word material was probably an issue, not the website, went beyond fair use. I did appreciate seeing it while it was up though.

    Alpine was politely told not to violate federal law. He responded with threats and has been banned. This is a free site. I have no intention in ending up in prison as have the founders of Pirate Bay, and I see no reason why we should have to spend our time dealing with people that threaten to cause us difficulties in the future. We don't have time for this.

    Three additional aliases of Alpine using various proxies have been removed along with a larger number of posts in violation of our terms of service. Several thousand proxy IPs have also been removed. Today is Independence Day in the United States. Article I, Section 8, Clause 8 of The United States Constitution confers upon authors and inventors exclusive rights to their works. We will not allow the violation of constitutional rights on this forum.
