    Northern Lights Over Minnesota

In case you missed the Northern Lights this weekend here is a picture my son sent from overlooking his house. It was cloudy where I live so could not see them. My son lives out in the country where no street lights can interfere with the night sky.

Nice, I was leaving a casino at 4am on Saturday morning and I was able to see some of the lights.. I know if you lived further north ( iron range ) it was more spectacular. I found a $25/$300 limit 4-deck game, DAS and with surrender offered and at 95% deck penetration! I started at 3pm and just kept on playing until the next morning.. It was awesome. I was exhausted but I had my biggest win ever at blackjack and cleared over $6k. Aside from exhaustion having a major impact on my counting.. I didn't want to have to fill out tax form since I was playing unrated.

No way... 5%? That's crazy. Good on you sticking it out for a long session. My shoe shaping up to boast the highest RC of the week happened to be cut short when a power outage caused the lights to cut out. Power was not restored for nearly 1.5 hours. Posted about a $800 win at $520 EV.

Can I assume this was also in Minnesota?

Anyway, my days of traveling to play blackjack are pretty much over. I wish they weren't, but both me and the wife are no longer in the best of health. Yeah, I miss it. However, I can now play blackjack online without all the hassle of traveling. In fact, I actually made more money in the last 4 years than in my previous 35 years of traveling to play. At the end of March this year if I quit for the year it would have been my best year ever. As of right now this year is in second place for best year.

Speaking of deep pen, I remember a casino in western WI that cut to 4 or 5 cards on their double deck game. I actually saw them run out of cards a couple times.
